Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- One to three months related experience and/or training
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions in English
- Ability to write simple correspondence in English
- Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and perform operations using American money and weight
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
- Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions
- Ability to lift and move up to 30 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Willingness to complete company training including food sanitation, safety, and customer service
- Adaptability to changing priorities and multiple tasks
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Ability to work in a moderate to loud environment with exposure to varying temperatures and chemicals
- Ability to stand, walk, use hands, reach, talk, hear, taste, and smell throughout the shift

Job Duties
- Take excellent care of customers by satisfying needs and exceeding expectations
- Prepare, process, package, and stock products according to Fresh Foods Standards
- Provide exceptional customer service by engaging customers, answering questions, and assisting with product selection
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas, including prep rooms, coolers, counters, and floors
- Unload stock and reload salvage products while following safety and quality standards
- Operate food preparation equipment to bake, fry, broil, or roast according to company guidelines
- Communicate effectively with customers and associates regarding product availability, promotions, and requests
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and company policies at all times
- Assist in inventory, merchandise displays, and price changes
- Promote teamwork and provide support to fellow associates throughout the shift
- Report safety hazards and comply with all safety regulations
- Dress and groom according to company standards reflecting a professional image
- Complete company training including food sanitation, customer service, safety, and product knowledge
- Handle and apply chemicals safely according to guidelines
- Adapt to changing work priorities and environments flexibly
- Follow through on customer and management requests promptly
- Maintain proper records and complete paperwork accurately
- Demonstrate dependability by being punctual and reliable
