Job Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Ability to stand, walk, reach, and lift up to 30 pounds regularly
- Willingness to participate in and complete required company training
- Ability to read, write, and comprehend simple English instructions and correspondence
- Reliable and punctual with good attendance
- Strong customer service orientation
- Ability to handle physical demands and work environment including exposure to varying temperatures and chemicals
- Commitment to maintain company grooming and dress standards
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- One to three months related experience or training
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English
- Basic math skills including addition and subtraction
- Ability to follow written and oral instructions
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
- Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment
- Flexibility to adapt to changing tasks and priorities
Job Duties
- Take excellent care of customers by satisfying their needs and exceeding expectations
- Prepare, process, package, and stock products according to Fresh Foods Standards
- Provide exceptional customer service including answering inquiries and assisting customers on the sales floor
- Prepare and decorate bakery items such as bread, cakes, pies, and cookies
- Cook and prepare poultry, pork, beef, and other meats according to quality standards
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas including prep rooms, counters, and floors
- Unload stock deliveries, manage inventory, and ensure proper product rotation and refrigeration
