- Serve Safe certification
- knowledge of food preparation in upscale environments
- understanding of sanitation practices

- physical ability to lift at least 50 lbs and stand for long durations

Job Duties
- Work knowledge of broiler, pantry and sauté stations
- confer with Sous Chef for menu requirements and food supplies
- prepare and cook food including a la carte items according to specifications and sanitary standards
- portion food and issue to servers upon order
- prepare all cold side items according to menus and specials
- make daily preparations of menu items maintaining high quality and presentation
- assist in other food preparation for events as needed
- clean work area after cooking and assist in maintaining kitchen cleanliness
- operate equipment in a safe and sanitary manner
- report food supply shortages or other issues to supervisor
- assist in receiving and storage of food
- perform other duties as requested
- cook hot side food items for banquets and assist other cooks as needed
- break down the station at end of shift including turning off equipment and locking storage areas
