- Previous waitstaff experience
- Excellent customer service skills
- Excellent oral communication and listening skills
- Ability to follow directions
- Ability to work independently and as a team in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable transportation required

- Knowledge of catering practices preferred

Job Duties
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude
- Gather menu information for each function served to provide accurate signage and guest explanations
- Be aware of banquet event order details including special diets
- Set up events by placing tablecloths, place settings, and buffet arrangements
- Carry plates of food on trays and serve guests
- Inspect meeting rooms prior to guest arrival to ensure client specifications
- Resolve guest complaints within authority or refer to management
- Notify supervisor or security of unusual events or missing items
- Maintain proper dining experience including delivering, fulfilling customer needs, removing courses, replenishing utensils, and refilling glasses
- Maintain safety and cleanliness standards in all areas
- Communicate guest needs, problems, and concerns to Banquet Supervisor
- Clean up venue after events and assist with closeout tasks
- Perform basic cleaning tasks as directed
- Greet guests warmly
- Adhere to grooming and appearance standards
- Provide quick service for last-minute changes
- Lead specific functions when required
- Obtain banquet event orders for functions
- Assist with quarterly inventory
- Assist with training new staff
- Participate in development events and organizational reviews
- Submit weekly time worked via Workday
- Perform other job-related duties assigned by supervisors
