Job Duties
- follow direction from food & beverage manager to support smooth event execution
- interpret banquet event order (BEO) documents and carry out event setup and service in alignment with the details provided
- prepare banquet rooms for events, including setting tables, linens, dishes, glassware, and silverware
- bus and set tables, including food, beverages, and condiments as needed
- serve food and beverages to guests during events, following service standards
- provide attentive and professional guest service, ensuring needs are met promptly
- assist in cleaning and organizing event spaces at the completion of events
- monitor and restock supplies as needed throughout service
- maintain cleanliness and operational standards for all banquet equipment
- follow all safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a healthy work environment
- contribute ideas and effort to improve event setup, service flow, and guest satisfaction
- comfort lifting, carrying, and standing for extended periods of time
- assist Poindexter Coffee as a barista when necessary
- welcome and assist customers by determining their coffee preferences and needs
- educate guests by presenting and explaining the coffee menu
- prepare and sell coffee beverages following established recipes and preparation techniques
- maintain inventory by replenishing coffee beans, supplies, and pastries
- keep coffee equipment clean and in working order by following instructions and performing routine maintenance
- support cafe operations by maintaining organization, cleanliness, and overall appearance of the bar
