Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proven professional baking experience
  • Ability to work early mornings weekends and holidays
  • Strong technical baking skills
  • Ability to lift and carry 50lbs
  • Commitment to quality service
  • Positive attitude and great work ethic
  • Eligibility to work in the United States

Job Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a professional baker preferably in a fine dining or boutique hotel environment
  • Strong knowledge of bread baking techniques and laminated dough production
  • Understanding of fermentation dough handling and temperature control
  • Ability to work early mornings and weekends as required
  • Attention to detail organization and a commitment to excellence
  • Culinary education preferred but not required with equivalent experience
  • Completed a Baker Patisserie Apprentice Program and or Baking and Pastry Arts Management program
  • Knowledge in a wide range of ingredients
  • Knowledge of baking equipment and techniques
  • Knowledge in precautionary measures for possible hazards WHMIS
  • Must be patient detail-oriented creative and organized
  • Able to work well independently and as part of a team
  • Must be able to lift and carry 50lbs

Job Duties

  • Prepare and bake a variety of artisan breads including sourdoughs yeasted breads and specialty loaves
  • Execute laminated doughs for pastries such as croissants pain au chocolat danish and seasonal viennoiserie
  • Maintain consistency quality and presentation across all baked goods
  • Follow established recipes while contributing creativity and seasonal ideas when appropriate
  • Manage fermentation proofing and baking schedules with precision
  • Maintain a clean organized and food-safe work environment
  • Collaborate closely with the pastry and culinary teams to support restaurant and special event needs
