Job Requirements
- Ability to obtain sales related licensure or registration as may be required by law
- One year of experience processing and filing merchandise receiving paperwork
- One year of experience with store inventory receiving and administration
- Six months of experience in warehouse data entry/bookkeeping
- Six months of experience communicating with vendors or customers regarding returns, payments, or contract fulfillment
- Six months of retail experience accepting or processing returns

Job Duties
- Provide SMART customer service at all times through daily execution of Lowe's customer service policies, procedures, and programs
- Seek out customers to understand their needs and assist in locating, demonstrating, selecting, carrying, and/or loading merchandise
- Listen and respond knowledgeably and promptly to customer and employee questions by taking them to areas of the store and walking them through projects when necessary
- Demonstrate sincere appreciation to customers
- Communicate information to customers regarding all stock, special order merchandise, feature benefits, application, and warranty information related to Lowe's programs
- Ensure to meet customers’ needs during a return by properly refunding the return and helping find the correct product for replacement
- Work closely with Production Office team to ensure timely processing of RTMs for labor, product, and vendor/manufacturer reimbursements for installed projects
- Maintain positive vendor relationships while managing difficult conversations about performance of the vendor’s products and services
- Complete Centralized Return to Vendor (CRTV) program including packaging, shipment creation, and inventory transfers
- Complete Return to Manufacturer (RTM) program including paperwork, packaging, vendor contact, and credit
- Process and return damaged, discontinued, defective, out-for-repair, special order and vendor buy-back merchandise by CRTV and/or contacting appropriate vendors
- Return refunded merchandise to the sales floor
- Generate and monitor reports including weekly cleared list, damaged on-hand list, and out-for-repair list
- Follow up on Store Inventory, RTVs/Buybacks, Weekly Cleared RTM Store Exception, and Out-For-Repair reports
- Order parts of products missing and necessary for assembly
- Coordinate with drivers and receiving team to ensure merchandise is accessible quickly to customers and order pick-up
- Assist in unloading trucks and moving pallet jacks to proper place for efficient product receiving
- Validate items being carried in and out of the store when appropriate
- Check returned products against Materials Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) for hazardous materials and log into hazmat cage if necessary
- Assure proper storage, clean-up, and disposal of hazardous materials
- Participate in recycling programs and Hazmat, equipment, and safety training as required
- Ensure doors and gates are secured or monitored when open
- Use box bailer to compress cardboard for receiving
- Detect common signs of shoplifting, theft, and security risks, and promptly communicate to management or Asset Protection
- Ensure compliance with housekeeping standards and programs to maintain cleanliness and organization
- Maintain a safe and secure work environment including conducting daily safety reviews and noting hazards
- Adhere to all safety requirements relevant to job duties
- Operate store equipment as needed depending on role and department, including Zebra phone, paging system, copiers, computers, CCTV, key cutter, panel saw, paint mixer, flooring cutters, compacter baler
- Perform other duties as assigned
