Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- ability to obtain sales related licensure or registration as may be required by law

Job Qualifications
- ability to obtain sales related licensure or registration as may be required by law
- 1 year of experience processing and filing merchandise receiving paperwork
- 1 year of experience with store inventory receiving and administration
- 6 months of experience in warehouse data entry/bookkeeping
- 6 months of experience communicating with vendors or customers regarding returns, payments, or contract fulfillment
- 6 months of retail experience accepting or processing returns
Job Duties
- provides SMART customer service through daily execution of Lowe's customer service policies, procedures and programs
- seeks out customers to understand their needs and assists in locating, demonstrating, selecting, carrying, and/or loading merchandise
- listens to and responds knowledgeably and promptly to customer and employee questions by guiding them through projects when necessary
- demonstrates sincere appreciation to customers
- communicates information regarding stock, special order merchandise, feature benefits, application, and warranty related to Lowe's programs
- ensures customer needs are met during returns by properly refunding and helping find correct replacements
- works closely with Production Office to process RTMs for labor, product, and vendor reimbursements for installed projects
- maintains positive vendor relationships and manages difficult product and service conversations
- completes Centralized Return to Vendor (CRTV) program including packaging, shipment creation, and inventory transfers
- completes Return to Manufacturer (RTM) program with paperwork, packaging, vendor contact, and credit
- processes and returns damaged, discontinued, defective, out-for-repair, special order and vendor buy-back merchandise
- returns refunded merchandise to sales floor
- generates and monitors reports including weekly cleared list, damaged on-hand list, and out-for-repair list
- follows up on store inventory, RTVs/Buybacks, cleared RTM store exceptions, and out-for-repair reports
- orders missing parts necessary for assembly
- coordinates with drivers and receiving team for product accessibility and order pick-up
- assists in unloading trucks and manages pallet jack placement for receiving efficiency
- validates items carried in and out of store
- checks returned products against MSDS and logs hazardous materials
- assures proper storage, cleanup, and disposal of hazardous materials
- participates in recycling, hazmat, equipment, and safety training
- secures store doors and gates
- uses box baler for cardboard compression
- detects and reports shoplifting, theft, and security risks
- complies with housekeeping standards and programs to maintain store cleanliness
- maintains a safe and secure environment including daily safety reviews and hazard identification
- adheres to safety requirements related to equipment and stocking procedures
- operates store equipment as needed depending on specific role and department
- performs other duties as assigned
