Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • one to three years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • ability to read, write, and comprehend simple English instructions and correspondence
  • ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple tasks
  • ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using units of American money and measurements

  • ability to stand, walk, use hands and arms, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch

  • proficient with HT Internet software, e-mail, inventory software, spreadsheet software, and word processing software

Job Duties

  • take excellent care of customers by satisfying needs and exceeding expectations
  • supervise up to 80 associates in the Fresh Foods Department
  • assist the Department Manager with direction, coordination, and evaluation of the department
  • perform duties of baker, fryer, cake decorator, Fresh Foods clerks, and chef as needed
  • interview, train, appraise performance, reward and discipline associates
  • address complaints and resolve problems
  • plan, assign, and direct work
