Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- previous housekeeping or related experience preferred
- availability to work Monday through Friday 7am to 3pm
- ability to work every 3rd weekend and 3rd holiday shift
- reliable attendance and punctuality
- ability to adhere to safety and health protocols
- capability to follow instructions and maintain professional conduct
- physical capability to perform repetitive manual tasks
- pass drug screen, criminal history check, and physical examination required
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- previous housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred
- ability to follow detailed cleaning schedules
- good communication skills
- ability to work independently and as part of a team
- knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies
- understanding of safety and infection control standards
- physical ability to perform manual tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
Job Duties
- Follow Indiana Health codes and policies
- follow The Heritage of Huntington policies and procedures
- estimate amounts of required supplies to avoid refilling cart throughout the day
- recognize areas needing extra attention and address them
- maintain a well-groomed appearance and practice personal hygiene
- report to work as scheduled demonstrating dependability
- maintain a safe environment for staff, residents, and visitors
- stay on task within designated areas unless on break or authorized chore
- listen to complaints attentively and report to supervisor
- provide care to resident's room and belongings without violating resident rights
- inspect supplies, equipment, and work areas for conformance to standards
- perform cleaning duties according to schedule in assigned areas
- sweep, dust, mop floors and stairways, spot clean and vacuum rugs and carpets
- collect trash and dispose in designated areas
- clean and sanitize lavatory, shower, and sink fixtures
- dust and polish furniture, desk lamps, glass surfaces, woodwork, walls, and windowsills
- scrub bath and shower tiles, woodwork, window frames, and sills
- maintain equipment and materials in clean condition
- report needed repairs and supply needs to Housekeeping Supervisor
- perform other duties assigned by supervisor
- follow direction of Hospitality Director and supervisors daily
