Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- at least 2 to 3 years of progressive experience in a hotel or related field
- previous supervisory responsibility preferred
- valid driver’s license for the applicable state
- ability to convey information and ideas clearly
- able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately
- ability to work well in stressful, high-pressure situations including handling guest objections and disputes
- able to show initiative in job performance and anticipate operational needs
- maintain composure and objectivity under pressure
- effective in handling problems in the workplace including anticipating, preventing, identifying and solving problems
- ability to assimilate complex information from disparate sources and adjust accordingly
- effective at listening, understanding and clarifying concerns raised by coworkers and guests
- able to work with and understand financial information and data including basic arithmetic functions
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- at least 2 to 3 years of progressive experience in a hotel or related field
- previous supervisory responsibility preferred
- college coursework in a related field helpful

Job Duties
- Approach all encounters with guests and associates in a friendly, service-oriented manner
- maintain regular attendance in compliance with company standards
- maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming
- comply with company standards and regulations to ensure safe and efficient hotel operations
- set the standard for guest relations at the front desk
- obtain all necessary information when taking room reservations
- monitor all VIP and special guest requests
- review front office log and trace file daily
- execute all relevant phases of the front desk computer system
- ensure timely logging and delivery of all messages, packages, and mail
- be aware of all rates, packages, and promotions
- be familiar with all in-house groups
- enforce all hotel credit policies
- perform all duties of front desk agent as needed
- complete and verify reports such as bucket check, room rate verification, and housekeeping
- maintain proper operation of PBX console
- establish good communications and teamwork with fellow associates and departments
- assist in ensuring associates follow company standards
- be knowledgeable of and assist in emergency procedures
- oversee friendly and efficient guest check-in/out
- complete all tasks on shift checklist in a timely manner
- ensure associates remain attentive and courteous
- respond to all guest inquiries professionally
- participate in departmental meetings and planning
- help maintain productivity levels above budget standards
- assist in training new hires and current associates
- attend management-requested meetings
