Job Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older upon employment
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Three years of advanced cooking skills required
- Previous customer service experience required
- Must possess excellent communication skills including reading writing and speaking effectively
- Ability to interact well with customers and employees
- Ability to resolve problems and conflicts diplomatically
- Ability to stand walk and move through all casino areas
- Maintain physical stamina and mental attitude to work under pressure in fast paced environment
- Work involves moderate exposure to hot cold temperatures and loud noises
- Ability to handle objects up to fifty pounds
- Willingness to work in environment where smoking is permitted
Job Qualifications
- Culinary education or experience preferred
- Familiarity with inventory management and food safety standards
- Ability to follow recipe manuals and production schedules
- Strong knowledge of various cooking stations and techniques
- Experience mentoring and training kitchen staff
- Good organizational and multitasking skills
- Knowledge of ServSafe or regulatory food temperature requirements
Job Duties
- Insure food items are properly stored including raw materials and prepared items
- Inspect all outgoing orders for proper preparation including portion control and presentation
- Ensure availability of all food items such as soups, sauces, and gravies prior to restaurant opening
- Take inventory of meats and seafood with knowledge of required quantities
- Coordinate food orders to proper cooks
- Prepare all food items strictly according to recipe manual specifications
- Review production schedules to determine food requirements including variety and quantity
- Complete production sheets and other records with Sous Chefs
- Maintain clean work areas utensils and equipment
- Regulate temperatures of ovens broilers and grills
- Maintain proper food temperatures according to regulatory and ServSafe standards
- Properly label date and rotate all products to ensure safety and sanitation
- Command all kitchen stations including roast fry pasta vegetable grill pantry breakfast sauté and high volume cooking
- Work collaboratively with Sous and Room Chefs in daily operations
- Teach and mentor Cooks and Production Cooks
- Work harmoniously with others in a strenuous environment
- Maintain professional appearance and punctuality with full uniform and badge
- Provide prompt friendly courteous food and beverage service
- Exhibit hospitality friendliness and politeness with guests co-workers and management using positive body language
- Comply with all corporate information security policies including Acceptable Use Policy
- Provide exceptional customer service and maintain professional work environment
- Meet attendance guidelines adhere to all regulatory departmental and company policies
- Complete all required SGC Training programs within nine months
- Attend all required meetings
- Adapt duties responsibilities and requirements as needed in a 24-hour schedule work environment
