Job Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older upon employment
  • Degree from a postsecondary culinary arts training program
  • At least three years of experience in food preparation
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Knowledge of food safety and quality standards
  • Ability to stand, walk and move throughout the casino
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to handle objects up to 50 pounds
  • Willingness to work flexible hours in a 24-hour schedule
  • Must complete all required training programs within nine months

Job Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years of age or older upon employment
  • Degree from a postsecondary culinary arts training program
  • A minimum of three years in a food preparation position
  • Excellent interpersonal, customer service, communication, coaching, team building, and problem solving skills
  • Extensive knowledge of fine seafood, protein and poultry
  • Computer literate in all Microsoft Office applications and automated restaurant systems
  • Must possess excellent communication skills including reading, writing and speaking effectively
  • Ability to deal effectively and interact well with customers and employees
  • Ability to resolve problems and conflicts diplomatically and tactfully

Job Duties

  • Report to work well-groomed in full uniform and on time with badge on upper left side of uniform
  • Provide prompt, friendly, and courteous service of food and beverage to all guests
  • Be hospitable, friendly, and polite with guests, co-workers, and management using positive body language
  • Establish production levels based on house counts or business forecast and post menu forecasts for all kitchen employees
  • Supervise kitchen preparation for service at all stations
  • Verify portion sizes, quality standards, department rules, policies, and procedures are maintained
  • Maintain clean work areas, utensils, and equipment
  • Prepare food safely according to company standards and policies
  • Train kitchen personnel in safe operating procedures of equipment and food production practices
  • Orient and train staff in department rules, policies, and procedures
  • Maintain quality standards for all menu items and food production
  • Supervise production of all food items
  • Relay guest complaints or compliments to the manager or supervisor on duty
  • Adhere to information security policies and maintain a professional work environment
  • Meet attendance guidelines and complete required training programs within nine months
  • Attend all necessary meetings
  • Duties and responsibilities may change as needed, with hours determined by a 24-hour schedule
