Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work full time or part time including weekends and night shifts
- Experience with cleaning and maintenance
- Capability to use cleaning equipment properly
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Physical ability to handle manual tasks
- Availability to perform multiple cleaning duties according to schedules
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous housekeeping or custodial experience preferred
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as auto scrubbers and floor machines
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow cleaning schedules
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
- Ability to work flexible hours including closing shifts and weekends
Job Duties
- Proactively greet customers and follow 10 4 rule
- Answer customer questions and/or complaints completely and courteously or take the questioner to the appropriate person
- Provide a welcoming atmosphere for member workers
- Empty waste receptacles in common areas and restrooms
- Monitor and maintain cleanliness of floors including dust mopping, sweeping, and damp mopping as needed
- Answer service or spill calls promptly
- Keep restrooms clean including filling soap and paper supplies, wiping surfaces, and following cleaning schedules
- Manage trash, recyclables, and compost collection and disposal
- Monitor waste removal from office spaces
- Maintain laundry area with clean and soiled linens
- Clean windows throughout the store
- Check and clean floor mats for safety and cleanliness
- Vacuum carpeted areas
- Wipe down freezer and dairy cooler doors
- Maintain cleaning tools and equipment in orderly condition
- Assist in scheduled cleaning and dusting tasks
- Perform deep cleaning and floor maintenance such as burnishing and restorative work
- Use auto scrubber and floor machines for floor care
- Maintain and clean outdoor areas including grounds, dumpsters, and bailing areas
- Sweep and power wash dumpster areas
- Clean exterior of building including siding and Plexiglas
- Assist with snow removal and ice melting on sidewalks
- Lawn care including mowing, trimming, and raking
- Clean bulk herb/spice counters and organize supplies
- Wash scoops and utensils and replace as needed
- Clean bulk tables, shelves, containers, and spill trays
- Clean bulk nut butter area and wash utensils
- Wipe cafe tables and furniture
- Sweep and mop cafe floors
- Remove trash, recycling, and compost from cafe
- Return dirty dishes to kitchen steward
- Notify kitchen steward of supply shortages
- Straighten community bookshelves
- Vacuum and roll up mats in community rooms
- Notify night manager of maintenance issues
- Monitor and maintain outdoor cafe furniture after hours
