Job Requirements
- Must meet all applicable state and federal requirements for this position
- Food service and/or hospitality experience preferred
- Ability to make independent decisions and follow instructions
- Capable of working with ill, disabled, elderly, and emotionally upset people within the facility
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, team members, residents, and families
- Frequent lifting/carrying of 30 lbs and occasional lifting/carrying of 50 lbs
- Frequent pushing/pulling up to 30 lbs and occasional pushing/pulling up to 50 lbs
- Ability to stand and walk frequently
- Ability to bend, twist, stoop, and reach at or below the shoulder
- Willingness to comply with sanitary regulations and safety standards
- Ability to work without direct supervision

Job Duties
- Serve meals that are palatable and appetizing in appearance
- Serve food in accordance with established portion control procedures
- Distribute and collect menus as necessary
- Take meal orders, serve food and beverages, and answer questions regarding the menu
- Follow sanitary regulations at all times
- Provide Platinum Service with each dining experience
- Set up meal trays, food carts and set up the dining room with utensils, salt and pepper, napkins, and clean common areas prior and after meals are served
- Assist in checking resident trays before distribution
- Pour hot and cold beverages for residents
- Assist residents with opening their containers and condiments as needed
- Pay special attention to resident and guest needs while they are enjoying their dining experience
- Prepare and deliver snacks to special events and parties hosted at the community
- Bus tables during and after the meals
- Provide support services to other dining rooms, during events and activities as needed
- Clean dining room area according to the cleaning schedules and assignments
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned
