Job Requirements
- High school education or equivalent
- One to two years of experience in a related hospitality or food service position
- Open availability to work full-time with flexible scheduling
- Ability to lift, push, pull and carry 20-40 lbs regularly
- Ability to stand continuously for most of the shift
- Capability to bend and assist with physical tasks as needed
- No kneeling or driving required
- Ability to work in an environment with varying temperatures, including potential exposure to temperatures exceeding 100 degrees in outdoor dining or kitchen areas
Job Qualifications
- High school education or equivalent
- Experience of one to two years in a related position within the hospitality or food and beverage industry
- Advanced knowledge of food service principles and practices
- Strong management skills including people and problem management
- Excellent oral communication skills for engaging with guests and staff
- Ability to interpret instructions from superiors and resolve guest and associate matters
- Sharp visual acuity for seating guests, expediting food, cleaning equipment, reading floor plans, charts, and schedules
Job Duties
- Monitor servers, runners, and other restaurant associates and ensure adherence to all service standards and SOPs, including inspecting staff for correct, clean, complete uniform, clean polished shoes, name tag and general appearance standards
- Supervise service of guests, being watchful of signals from guests in need of service
- Assist manager to establish and monitor side-work duty completion
- Maintain bank to SOP, keep it balanced and secure at all times
- Read daily communication sheets from previous shift and prepare one for the following shift
- Check restaurant for cleanliness and set up
- Check service stands and aisle areas
- Check tables for cleanliness and proper set up
- Communicate daily with restaurant manager with regard to special events, house counts, etc.
- Assist restaurant managers in conducting menu classes and taste panels
