Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- physical ability to communicate by speaking, seeing, and hearing
- professional appearance and adherence to dress code
- excellent customer service and interpersonal skills

- ability to relate to residents and associates courteously and diplomatically
- successful completion of drug testing and criminal background check
- physical ability to bend, stand, lift, stoop, sit, walk, stretch, and lift or carry up to 40 pounds

Job Duties
- Administer or follow written and oral directions
- communicate and relate to community residents
- assist in set-ups and dining room service
- take orders and serve food appropriately
- set-up and deliver trays upon chef or cook request
- bus tables and trays in dining room and other areas
- pour and cover beverages, assist in preparing and covering food
- assist in proper care and use of kitchen and dining room equipment
- clean all work areas as directed
- work steadily to meet demands of cooks and residents
- cooperate with other dining room associates for efficient operation
- understand and relate menu to residents
- act as liaison between residents and food service department
- observe infection control procedures related to food service
- follow residents' rights policies
- follow facility safety program
- maintain neat appearance and dress code
- work scheduled shifts and be dependable
- perform other duties as assigned
