Job Requirements
- Understanding of and passion for the natural foods industry
- Experience with or passion and interest for the cooperative business model and cooperative values
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Ability to multi-task and succeed in a deadline driven environment
- Solid understanding of brand guidelines
- Solid understanding of basic advertising and marketing principles
- Experience designing print and digital in quick-turnaround deadline-driven environment
- Familiarity with both Mac and PC computing platforms
- Above average proficiency in Adobe Suite including Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Proven working knowledge of various social media platforms and specific design needs
- Excellent organizational and project management skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Proven ability to pay attention to details and focus on multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Must be able to consistently and safely lift and carry up to 35lbs
- Must be able to push and pull carts weighing up to 100lbs

- Experience with website content management systems
- Basic knowledge of website design and blog maintenance
- Above average digital photography and video skills
- Illustration and hand lettering skills a plus
- Ability to tweak or write basic copy for print and social media
- Experience with social media planning, measuring, ad buying preferred
- Experience with animation and video content creation including Adobe Premiere and Final Cut preferred
Job Duties
- Design print direct mail, newspaper, magazine ads and various collateral materials
- Design signage including promotional, shelf level, institutional, digital menu boards
- Design and produce content for website, email campaigns and social media
- Assist with production and design of in-store weekly and bi-weekly promotions such as flyers, signs, and handouts
- Produce and design content for the Coop Scoop bi-monthly magazine
- Refresh and re-purpose existing graphics and materials
- Participate actively in team meetings and brainstorming sessions
- Assist in creation and ordering of on brand in-store materials and supplies such as stickers, business cards, stationery, letterhead, and swag
- Collaborate with Education, Outreach and Membership teams to create materials like posters, brochures, and register screens
- Collaborate with marketing and operations teams to keep social and digital media platforms fresh and engaging
- Seek out new products and initiatives for social media features
- Create accessible submission channels for store departments to contribute social content
- Support organizing and setting up store events including education, outreach, demos, and membership activities
- Work with the Education Specialist to ensure smooth execution of in-store events
- Perform other tasks as assigned
