Job Requirements
- high school education or equivalent
- one to two years of related experience with the company or another organization
- knowledge of cooking and kitchen procedures
- ability to lift up to 70 lbs regularly
- ability to stand for long periods
- ability to work in varying temperature environments
- ability to follow verbal and written instructions
- good communication skills
- physical capability to perform job duties including climbing and bending
Job Qualifications
- high school education or equivalent
- one to two years of related experience in a similar position
- knowledge of cooking practices and kitchen procedures
- ability to perform non-repetitive analytical tasks
- strong attention to detail
- good communication skills both verbal and written
- ability to follow written and verbal instructions
Job Duties
- ensure proper service from the front line through quality control
- train line cooks and maintain proper sanitation levels
- check all items against recipe cards and verify use records
- monitor line set up prior to meal functions for efficiency
- maintain equipment and enforce clean as you go policy
- prepare food consistently following recipes and portion standards
- manage pre-prepared food items and control waste
- date and rotate food containers per standard operating procedures
- check pars and prepare necessary items for shifts
- assist in buffet stocking
- return unused food items to storage with proper coverage and dating
- assist in food cost control and waste reduction efforts
