Job Description

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- previous housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred
- ability to work the scheduled shifts including every other Saturday and holidays
- ability to follow established policies and procedures
- good communication skills
- physical ability to perform cleaning tasks including lifting and standing for extended periods
- ability to handle resident belongings with care and respect

Job Duties
- General cleaning including floor care, washing and sanitizing surfaces, polishing furniture and fixtures
- waste removal
- stocking housekeeping and laundry supplies
- cleaning windows
- collecting laundry from resident rooms and designated areas
- sorting, labeling, washing, drying and distributing linens and resident personal clothing
- ironing articles as required
- inspecting laundry and linen
- informing supervisor of replacement needs and communicating with residents and families
- ensuring equipment, tools, and supplies are cleaned and properly stored at end of each shift
- performing other duties as assigned
