Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • previous housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred
  • ability to work the scheduled shifts including every other Saturday and holidays
  • ability to follow established policies and procedures
  • good communication skills
  • physical ability to perform cleaning tasks including lifting and standing for extended periods
  • ability to handle resident belongings with care and respect

Job Duties

  • General cleaning including floor care, washing and sanitizing surfaces, polishing furniture and fixtures
  • waste removal
  • stocking housekeeping and laundry supplies
  • cleaning windows
  • collecting laundry from resident rooms and designated areas
  • sorting, labeling, washing, drying and distributing linens and resident personal clothing
  • ironing articles as required
  • inspecting laundry and linen
  • informing supervisor of replacement needs and communicating with residents and families
  • ensuring equipment, tools, and supplies are cleaned and properly stored at end of each shift
  • performing other duties as assigned
