Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1+ years of experience in event coordination or related field
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to engage with diverse guests
- Good organizational skills
- Availability to work Wednesday through Sunday including some evenings
- Ability to work on-site at a MetroLagoons location
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Bachelor’s degree in event management marketing or related field preferred
- 3-5 years of experience in digital marketing and advertising
- 1+ years of experience in event coordination or related field
- Hospitality or customer service experience preferred
- Experience as host emcee or similar role is a plus
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- Excellent communication public speaking and interpersonal skills
- Ability to engage and entertain diverse audiences including families and children
Job Duties
- Coordinate on-site presence for partnerships and events managing digital and printed signage and radio programming
- Serve as the on-site point of contact for event setup logistics and execution ensuring smooth operations
- Provide feedback and updates to the Corporate Events team
- Act as an emcee for events such as trivia karaoke bingo and similar activities
- Lead kid’s activities and other planned or pop-up events ensuring a fun engaging family-friendly atmosphere
- Serve as a Funbassador interacting with guests and maintaining energy and enthusiasm
- Manage contracts with third party contractors and business partners ensuring compliance with terms
- Schedule and oversee third party contractors and business partners to ensure proper coverage
- Reconcile activities payments and operational metrics of contractors
- Collaborate with Corporate SPGE Coordinator to implement the monthly calendar
- Ensure event activities align with MetroLagoons standards
- Assist in monitoring on-site labor and operational expenses
- Provide accurate reporting on spending contractor activities and resource allocation
- Work closely with local lagoon team to align on event logistics and guest experience
- Support and guide team members involved in activities
- Maintain regular communication with Strategic Partnership & Events Team
- Compile post-event reports including successes challenges and improvement recommendations
