Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1+ years of event coordination experience
- Experience in digital marketing or advertising
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work Wednesday through Sunday including some evenings
- Ability to engage diverse audiences
- Proficiency in public speaking
- Ability to manage contracts and budgets
- Experience working with third party contractors
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Bachelor’s degree in event management marketing or related field preferred
- 3-5 years of experience in digital marketing and advertising
- 1+ years of experience in event coordination or related field
- Hospitality or customer service experience preferred
- Experience as a host emcee or similar role is a plus
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- Excellent communication public speaking and interpersonal skills
- Ability to engage and entertain diverse audiences including families and children
Job Duties
- Coordinate on-site presence for partnerships and events including managing digital and printed signage and overseeing MetroLagoons radio programming
- Serve as the on-site point of contact for event setup logistics and execution to ensure smooth operations
- Act as an emcee for events such as trivia karaoke and bingo to enhance guest participation and enjoyment
- Lead kids activities and other planned or pop-up events ensuring a fun engaging and family-friendly atmosphere
- Serve as a funbassador interacting with guests and maintaining energy and enthusiasm throughout the day
- Manage contracts with third party contractors and business partners ensuring compliance and alignment with event objectives
- Collaborate with corporate SP&E coordinator to implement the monthly calendar and assist in monitoring SP&E labor and operational expenses
