Job Requirements
- Ability to satisfactorily communicate in English including speaking, reading, and writing
- Ability to perform duties with attention to detail, speed, accuracy, follow-through, courtesy, cooperation, and minimal supervision
- Capability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 lbs including serving trays, carts, tables, chairs, and small equipment up to 75% of the time
- Ability to balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, handle, and finger throughout the shift
- Mobility to travel up to 300 feet regularly during shift
- Capacity for continuous standing during preparation, service, or expediting
- Visual ability to see minute objects at arm's length, and read meters and controls
Job Qualifications
- High school education or equivalent
- Previous experience in a similar position of 3 months or longer
- Basic knowledge of restaurant operations
Job Duties
- Responsible for the timely delivery of food and ensuring plate presentations and food quality are of the highest standard
- Maintain complete knowledge of table, seat, station numbers, room capacity, hours of operation, proper table set-up, and dress code
- Comply with all departmental policies and service procedures
- Maintain complete knowledge of all liquor brands, wines, beers, non-alcoholic selections, glassware and garnishes
- Maintain complete knowledge of all menu items, prices, preparation method and time, major ingredients, and quality standards of taste, appearance, texture, serving temperature, portion size, garnish, and presentation
- Abide by state liquor regulations prohibiting service to minors, intoxicated persons, and drunk driving
- Maintain correct maintenance and use of equipment
- Use and understand P.O.S. and manual systems
- Provide assistance to other employees and departments to contribute to overall department and hotel performance
