Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least three months supervisory experience or equivalent theatre experience
  • Completion or progress in management certification program
  • Legal age to sell and serve alcohol if applicable
  • Completion of any legal alcohol training and certification
  • Ability to communicate effectively in oral and written form
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations
  • Ability to operate projection and audio-visual equipment
  • Ability to handle physical demands including frequent standing, walking, and lifting up to 60 lbs
  • Ability to work under pressure and with minimal supervision
  • Computer proficiency with basic office software
  • Strong interpersonal skills and customer service orientation

Job Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • At least three months supervisory experience or six months theatre experience with completion of Cast Certification Program, or a combination thereof
  • Completion or in process of management certification program
  • Good public speaking skills
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven experience with PC platforms and basic office programs
  • Ability to perform calculations with speed and accuracy
  • Ability to identify problems, evaluate information, reach conclusions and recommend solutions
  • Strong interpersonal skills and sensitivity to others
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure

Job Duties

  • Regular and consistent attendance
  • Upholding and administering all theatre policies
  • The training, developing, coaching and supervising of non-management employees
  • Performing all staff positions as required
  • Operating all projection and audio-visual equipment within the theatre, both hardware and software, including all applicable film handling and maintenance as required
  • Ensure required alcohol certification and training are current where applicable
  • Monitoring risk management as it pertains to the theatre, employee and patron safety, loss prevention, emergency situations, and proper handling, reporting, and investigating of accidents
  • Ensuring guest satisfaction
  • Counting, depositing, and reconciling all receipts
  • Knowledge and compliance of dress code
  • Interviewing, hiring, scheduling, coaching, counseling, suspending of cast members with oversight from General Manager or senior management
  • Controlling costs including all direct operating expenses
  • Purchasing and ordering concession and café stock and supplies
  • Supervising theatre maintenance including minor repairs and obtaining qualified personnel for major concerns
  • Marketing and promotions of feature film engagements
  • Scheduling of movie show times and ensuring timely delivery of show times
  • Reading and understanding training materials on topics such as sexual harassment and discrimination
