- high school diploma or equivalent
- previous hospital and food service experience preferred
- ability to communicate effectively in English verbally and in writing
- ability to communicate well with co-workers and guests
- ability to demonstrate clear oral and written communication skills
- ability to effectively plan and prioritize work
- ability to follow simple recipes
- ability to maintain collaborative working relationships to ensure a positive and productive work environment
- ability to provide exceptional customer service
- knowledge and ability to operate basic kitchen equipment
- knowledge of food safety guidelines
- PC competency, working knowledge of Microsoft Office products such as Word and Excel

Job Duties
- assist dishwasher with cleaning and sanitizing dishes
- assist in orienting new employees to department
- assist in setting up, serving and breaking down catered events
- clean freezers, refrigerators and storage areas
- deliver and serve food to patients, family and employees
- help other kitchen personnel in the preparation and arrangement of meals
- help with assigned cleaning and date/label duties
- set up trays according to department guidelines
- stock supplies
- take all patient and guest food requests
- perform other duties as assigned
