Job Requirements

  • Applicants must be 18 years of age or older
  • must be able to work flexible shifts including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • capable of lifting items up to 50 pounds and standing for long periods
  • able to follow detailed recipes and instructions precisely
  • willing to adhere strictly to health and safety and hygiene standards
  • reliable with consistent work attendance and punctuality
  • ability to work independently and as part of a team

Job Qualifications

  • Able to understand written and oral directions and apply knowledge to perform job responsibilities
  • understands basic units of measurement used in the U.S.
  • able to perform repetitious, physical tasks requiring strength and endurance
  • capable of operating commercial-grade ovens and bakery equipment
  • meticulous with measurements and timing under a fast-paced schedule
  • able to evaluate product and process compliance with standards
  • disciplined and attentive to health and safety practices
  • diligent, organized, self-motivated, and able to prioritize workload independently
  • bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
  • previous experience as a Froster or Baker or in a bakery, restaurant, or foodservice environment is a plus
  • 18 years of age or older

Job Duties

  • Follows proprietary recipes and cake production methods with precision and achieves productivity goals
  • follows proprietary frosting recipe and application methods precisely
  • effectively utilizes measuring instruments, commercial-grade mixers, ovens, and other tools for baking and frosting cakes
  • accurately prepares raw ingredients and monitors the baking process
  • adheres to proper packaging, labeling, and storage protocols as well as product rotation standards
  • assists Bakery Manager in production planning and monitors inventory of baking supplies
  • evaluates raw ingredients and finished cakes to ensure company standards are met
  • complies with all health and safety guidelines and company policies
  • ensures an adequate supply of frosted cakes are available and maintains display case levels
  • prioritizes cake pre-orders and frosts cakes for walk-in guests accordingly
  • monitors frosting supplies and communicates replenishment needs
  • cleans, sanitizes, and restocks workstation and washes equipment when required
  • maintains consistent attendance and punctuality
