Job Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- No formal education required
- Previous experience in an operational support role at a bakery, restaurant, or food service environment is a plus
- Flexible to work various shifts including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Comply with health and safety guidelines
- Maintain punctuality and consistent attendance
Job Qualifications
- Ability to understand written and oral directions and interpret recipes, order tickets, operating procedures, and health and safety rules
- Understanding of basic units of measurement used in the U.S.
- Ability to perform repetitious tasks requiring precise and continuous movement of arms, wrists, hands, and fingers
- Physical capacity to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
- Meticulous with exact measurements, timing, and working on a fast-paced production schedule
- Ability to evaluate products and surroundings to ensure compliance with standards
- Attention to detail and discipline to adhere to health and safety practices
- Diligent, organized and self-motivated
- Ability to prioritize workload and work independently
Job Duties
- Follow NbC proprietary frosting recipe and application methods with precision and achieve productivity goals
- Effectively use measuring instruments, commercial-grade or handheld mixer and pastry bag to frost cakes
- Prioritize cake pre-orders according to schedule and frost cakes for walk-in guest orders
- Ensure adequate supply of samples and frosted cakes in display case and maintain frosting and frosted cake par levels
- Adhere to proper packaging, labeling, and storage of frosted cakes and maintain frosting and refrigeration logs
- Monitor inventory of frosting supplies and notify management when replenishment is required
- Evaluate baked and frosted cakes to ensure NbC standards are met and inform management of quality control issues
- Clean, sanitize and restock workstation, prepare frosting supplies for next shift, and wash equipment if needed
- Comply with all health and safety guidelines and NbC policies, including dress code and hygiene
- Maintain consistent work attendance and punctuality
