Job Requirements

Job Qualifications

  • Proven experience in front office supervision or similar leadership role in the hospitality industry

Job Duties

  • Assist staff with expediting payments and resolving credit card processing issues
  • follow up with guests to ensure satisfaction with guest-related concerns
  • process guest check-ins by confirming reservations, assigning rooms, and activating room keys
  • process various payment types including room charges, cash, checks, debit, and credit
  • set up accurate guest accounts at check-in including sharing withs, separate room/tax/incidentals, and comps
  • anticipate sold-out situations and secure alternative accommodations when necessary
  • block rooms in the computer and identify designated requirements and requests
  • coordinate with Bell staff and Housekeeping to resolve guest requests and track room readiness
  • maintain shift logs, daily memo books, and document pertinent information
  • count cash bank at beginning and end of shift
  • balance and drop receipts following accounting specifications
  • supervise operational functions consistent with strategic plans and budget objectives
  • oversee delivery and measurement of guest service standards
  • ensure compliance with budgetary guidelines, company policies, and legal requirements
  • manage Human Resources responsibilities for Front Office employees including performance evaluations and schedules
  • create a work environment promoting teamwork, recognition, mutual respect, and employee satisfaction
  • mentor and coach Front Office staff to optimize advancement opportunities
  • monitor shifts, enforce break/lunch schedules, and approve overtime based on business needs
  • provide guest resolution for issues beyond staff authority
  • assist Manager on Duty with administrative duties
  • promote open communication among employees to improve guest service and job satisfaction
  • advise management of any discrepancies or potential security issues
  • maintain safety and accident prevention awareness
  • ensure work areas and equipment are clean, stocked, and functional
  • inventory supplies and order as needed
  • complete all projects assigned by management professionally and timely
  • establish effective relationships with all hotel departments
  • perform assigned duties during emergencies calmly and efficiently
  • train Front Office staff to ensure adherence to standards
  • maintain high level of expertise by performing Front Office functions
  • keep supervisors informed of all significant matters
  • adhere to company policies and procedures
  • uphold hotel dress and grooming standards
  • project a favorable image of Luxe Sunset Boulevard Hotel at all times
  • attend work as scheduled
  • minimize safety hazards by following all safety rules and procedures.
