Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in hotel or related field preferred
- Computer proficiency required
- Ability to communicate clearly and courteously
- Ability to multitask and prioritize departmental functions
- Ability to stand for entire shift
- Able to handle light physical work of lifting up to 20 pounds occasionally and up to 10 pounds frequently
- Flexibility for long hours sometimes required
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- College coursework in related field helpful
- Experience in a hotel or related field preferred
- Computer experience required
- Customer service experience preferred
- Ability to stand for entire shift
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
- Ability to multitask and prioritize
- Must maintain a warm and friendly demeanor
- Must be capable of supervising team members
- Must attend hotel required meetings and training
- Ability to follow hotel standards and safety regulations
- Must have problem-solving skills
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality
- Must be able to show initiative and anticipate needs
Job Duties
- Greet and welcome all guests approaching the front desk in accordance with hotel standards
- Maintain proper operation of the PBX console and ensure hotel standards are met
- Answer guest inquiries about hotel services, facilities, and hours of operation promptly
- Ensure logging and delivery of packages, mail, and messages to guests and meeting rooms
- Review front office log and trace file daily
- Answer inquiries from guests regarding restaurants, transportation, entertainment, etc.
- Follow all cash handling and credit policies
