Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in hotel or related field preferred
  • Computer proficiency required
  • Ability to communicate clearly and courteously
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize departmental functions
  • Ability to stand for entire shift
  • Able to handle light physical work of lifting up to 20 pounds occasionally and up to 10 pounds frequently
  • Flexibility for long hours sometimes required

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • College coursework in related field helpful
  • Experience in a hotel or related field preferred
  • Computer experience required
  • Customer service experience preferred
  • Ability to stand for entire shift
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize
  • Must maintain a warm and friendly demeanor
  • Must be capable of supervising team members
  • Must attend hotel required meetings and training
  • Ability to follow hotel standards and safety regulations
  • Must have problem-solving skills
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality
  • Must be able to show initiative and anticipate needs

Job Duties

  • Greet and welcome all guests approaching the front desk in accordance with hotel standards
  • Maintain proper operation of the PBX console and ensure hotel standards are met
  • Answer guest inquiries about hotel services, facilities, and hours of operation promptly
  • Ensure logging and delivery of packages, mail, and messages to guests and meeting rooms
  • Review front office log and trace file daily
  • Answer inquiries from guests regarding restaurants, transportation, entertainment, etc.
  • Follow all cash handling and credit policies
