Job Requirements
- 2+ years of front office/guest relations experience including supervisory training/experience in a hotel
- Extensive knowledge of the Hilton Honors and/or IHG programs preferred
- Must be at least 18 years of age or older
- High school diploma/GED - preferred but not mandatory
- Thorough organization and time management skills to complete tasks efficiently and timely
- Ability to multi-task and work with a sense of urgency in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to effectively deal with guests, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact and diplomacy to defuse anger and collect accurate information and resolve conflicts
- Basic mathematical skills and considerable skill in the use of a calculator to prepare moderately complex mathematical calculations without error
- Ability to listen effectively and to speak English clearly to communicate with customers and employees and prepare written complex reports of room availability and revenues generated
- Accurately process all cash and credit card transactions in accordance with established procedures including but not limited to posting all charges, completing cashier or other reports, preparing deposit, and counting/securing assigned bank
- Able to perform all essential duties and responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodation

Job Duties
- Assist in supervising the front desk function
- Ensure staff are properly trained including service expectations, hotel facilities and services, local directions, property management and reservations systems, safety, and emergency procedures
- Monitor performance and recommend corrective or disciplinary action and alert management of potentially serious issues
- Complete opening and closing shift duties and communicate any outstanding guest requests or issues to management that may require additional monitoring or follow-up
- Perform other duties as assigned which may include guest room tours, concierge services, bell assist, and any special guest requests
- Assist the Front Office Managers on system training and executing all Front Office procedures
- Routinely check in/check-out guests, answer phones, make reservations, and assist staff with job functions
- Respond appropriately to guest complaints
- Make appropriate service recovery gestures in accordance with established guidelines
- Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments
- Assist Front Office Managers in the execution of their duties as requested/needed
- Perform the duties of Guest Service Agent and Telephone Operator in a friendly and courteous manner to ensure guest satisfaction
- Overnight shifts may be required
