Job Requirements

  • Requires high school diploma or equivalent
  • 1-2 years in administrative experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Effective interpersonal skills
  • Analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Bilingual in Spanish preferred
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds
  • Ability to sit for extended periods
  • Adherence to HIPAA and universal precautions
  • Punctual and dependable for assigned shifts

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1-2 years in administrative experience
  • Certified Patient Account Representative (C-PAR) preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Effective interpersonal skills
  • Analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Bi-lingual in Spanish preferred

Job Duties

  • Greet and checks patients in and out
  • Answers telephone and voice messages in a timely manner and is professional, friendly, and helpful with all requests
  • Respond and comply to requests for patient information
  • Schedule and confirm patient appointments
  • Maintain provider's patient schedule
  • Update and maintain patient information including demographics, proof of income, household assessment, etc. following all HIPAA guidelines
  • Communicate with clinical staff to maintain patient flow
  • Verify insurance and collect payments from patients at the time of service
  • Balance cash drawer daily
  • Provide assistance to other front office staff as needed
  • Attend and participate in in-service education for staff, quality assurance program, and risk-management programs
  • Participate in daily team huddles to review task lists and coordinate care
