Job Requirements
- Previous experience in the hotel or travel industry
- High school diploma or equivalent vocational training certificate
- Some college education preferred
- Ability to anticipate guest needs and respond promptly
- Must be highly organized and detail-oriented
- Ability to maintain positive guest relations at all times
- Ability to input and access information in property management systems and point of sales systems
- Japanese speaking highly preferred
- Ability to transport up to 40 lbs
- Ability to stand or walk for up to 8 hours
- Flexibility to work any day during the week and all shifts as needed
- Ability to type 35 words per minute
- Must be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Ability to handle hotel emergency situations with maturity and professionalism
- Ability to balance daily shift work and cash drawers
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Assist guests with settling their charges upon departure with all methods of payment in accordance with hotels standards
- Greet and acknowledge all arriving/departing guests
- Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of the work areas at all times
- Display a friendly, courteous and professional manner in all dealings with guests, patrons and other employees
- Assign rooms, welcome and register hotel guests while fulfilling requests and adhering to established credit policies
- Understand room status and room status tracking
- Quote and be familiar with room types and rate availability for current and future dates
- Accept reservations, changes and cancellations in the absence of the reservations staff
- Pre-register individuals or groups as required and assist in escorting VIPs and return guests to their rooms
- Work closely with Concierge and Front Services staff to coordinate guest luggage and follow up on guest requests
- Handle guest issues or concerns
- Utilize the property management system to run daily reports and block special requests
- Coordinate room status updates with Housekeeping department
- Know cancellation procedures and issue key cards with proper controls
- Use proper mail, package and message handling procedures
- Attend department meetings and coordinate guest room maintenance with engineering and maintenance division
- Report unusual occurrences
- Know all safety and emergency procedures
- Balance daily shift work and cash drawers
- Answer and respond to inquiries at the Front Office
- Perform all other duties as assigned
