Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Relevant experience in a luxury hotel environment preferred
  • Ability to operate front office communication and security equipment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure
  • Customer service oriented mindset
  • Teamwork skills and reliability

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Bachelor's degree preferably in hospitality or hotel management
  • Experience working at a luxury property or hotel
  • Proficient in operating switchboard, fax, key equipment, credit card machines, hotel alarm systems, and front office equipment
  • Effective communication skills with colleagues, guests, and supervisors
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment

Job Duties

  • Register and greet customers promptly
  • Check daily arrival list and block special requests
  • Respond to guest requests for hotel and local information
  • Arrange special services requested by guests
  • Review communication tools to stay current with hotel developments
  • Coordinate guest services with Bell staff, Housekeeping, Reservations, and Room Service
  • Update registration cards for accuracy of guest information
  • Resolve guest-related problems efficiently
  • Monitor room status and availability
  • Understand and apply The Umstead's service concepts
  • Handle all hotel promotions knowledgeably
  • Adhere to credit procedures and monitor customer accounts
  • Follow hotel policies on cash bank usage
  • Deliver guest mail and messages promptly
  • Demonstrate knowledge of all hotel services and facilities
  • Assist guests effectively
