Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • customer service and management experience required
  • ability to stand for long periods
  • flexible to work varying shifts including weekends and holidays
  • ability to handle stressful situations calmly
  • must be trained or willing to train in emergency procedures and Automated External Defibrillator use

Job Duties

  • Recruits selects and retains a quality Front Office staff including Front Desk Associates and Valet Bellmen staff
  • supervises the front office to ensure adherence to hotel procedures regulations and standards
  • ensures smooth efficient and professional operation of front office including guest check-in and check-out and proper handling of guest accounts
  • initiates and implements up-selling techniques to promote hotel services and facilities
  • trains Front Office and Valet staff to deliver excellent service and maintain current knowledge of hotel offerings and local events
  • provides great customer service in a warm and friendly manner
  • audits work for accuracy and consistency and maintains high performance standards
  • enforces company standards of dress and appearance
  • works with General Manager to improve hotel curb appeal lobby presentation and arrival departure experience
  • verifies payroll daily and weekly for front office and valet personnel
  • handles customer complaints credit card chargebacks and customer care cases
  • develops knowledge of frequent guests and their needs
  • resolves guest relation problems skillfully
  • responsible for key control and security measures
  • organizes and maintains Front Office records and inventory
  • trains staff in emergency fire evacuation safety procedures and use of Automated External Defibrillator
  • maintains ongoing communication with Housekeeping Controller Reservation office and other departments
  • provides timely weekly work schedules
  • capable of performing all Front Desk duties as needed
