Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred
  • Four years of front desk related experience or equivalent
  • Proven leadership skills
  • Strong communication abilities
  • Customer service experience
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency with computer systems and software
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Ability to lift or carry items up to 25 lbs

Job Duties

  • Organizes and directs daily activities of front desk agents including concierge, bell/valet, security, and night audit services
  • Be a brand ambassador and represent the Indigo brand story and local information while maintaining appropriate uniform
  • Direct, implement, and maintain service standards
  • Maintain complete knowledge of daily house count, arrivals/departures, group activities, room rates, packages, and promotions and communicate to staff
  • Monitor guest registration, check-out, and telephone service
  • Develop and monitor department budget managing expenses within approved constraints
  • Implement and maintain programs to enhance guest satisfaction and efficient front office operations
  • Perform front desk agent duties including guest check-in and check-out, responding to questions, resolving complaints, answering phones, and managing reservations
  • Ensure guests' needs are fulfilled and assist with dining, entertainment, or transportation reservations
  • Assist staff with resolution of guest complaints
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of hotel services, facilities, policies, and area attractions
  • Monitor social media and travel sites for response and trends
  • Prepare accurate and timely reports
  • Hire, train, supervise, motivate, and develop front office staff and manage schedules
  • Assign duties and monitor quality assuring compliance with policies and safety regulations
  • Provide daily guidance and oversight and promote performance
  • Identify problem areas and take corrective actions
  • Perform other tasks assigned by management
