Job Requirements
- Preferably 3 years experience in customer service, hotel, administrative, human resources, legal, educational, training, financial, or business related field
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, data entry, and database management systems
- Ability to analyze variances and monitor credit reports
- At least 2 years of higher education beyond high school or GED
- Background screening for previous criminal history
- Successful completion of hotel's reservations system test with at least 80 percent score after training
- Ability to perform all jobs within Front Desk and PBX Departments when needed
- Strong emotional intelligence
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Flexibility to cover shifts at short notice
- Commitment to enforce hotel policies and safety programs.
Job Qualifications
- At least three years experience in customer service, hotel, administrative, human resources, legal, educational, training, financial, or business related field
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, data entry, and database management systems
- Ability to analyze variances, monitor credit report, maintain close observation of daily house count
- Knowledge of front office and guest services operations
- Ability to perform Front Desk and PBX duties when needed
- Familiarity with hotel brand specific programs and procedures
- Knowledge and enforcement of Fair Treatment and Equal Employment Opportunity policies
- Emotional intelligence with ability to manage disruptive emotions and maintain composure under pressure
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Background screening clearance

- Successful completion of hotel reservations system test with minimum 80 percent score after training.
Job Duties
- Establish and maintain attentive, friendly courteous and efficient hospitality at the Front Desk
- Respond to all guest requests, problems, complaints and/or accidents in an attentive, efficient, and courteous manner and follow up to ensure guest satisfaction
- Motivate, coach, counsel and discipline all team members according to hotel standards
- Prepare team member schedules according to business forecast, payroll budget guidelines and productivity requirements
- Maximize room revenue and occupancy by reviewing status daily
- Operate all aspects of the front office system including software maintenance, report generation and analysis
- Monitor proper operation of the PBX console and ensure team members maintain SOP's
- Maintain lobby and front desk presence during peak hours and as needed
- Manage and organize large turn days including guest check-ins and check-outs
- Ensure correct and accurate cash handling at the Front Desk
- Enforce hotel policies fairly and consistently with staff
- Maintain constant communication with Housekeeping and General Manager
- Control department expenses to achieve budgeted profit
- Develop, implement, and maintain an effective guest relations program
- Be flexible and a team player willing to perform other duties as necessary
- Cover shifts at short notice as needed.
