Job Requirements

  • Ability to stand and move throughout hotel function areas
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
  • Capability for occasional twisting, bending, stooping, reaching, standing, and walking
  • Frequent talking, hearing, seeing, and smiling
  • Ability to work varied shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming in compliance with dress code
  • Demonstrate regular attendance and punctuality

Job Qualifications

  • Four-year college degree or equivalent education or experience
  • Two to three years of experience in a related hotel company position
  • Hospitality industry and hotel department supervisory experience
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
  • Proficiency in handling cash and credit transactions
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel
  • Knowledge of general office equipment and cash register operation

Job Duties

  • Work with the hotel General Manager to achieve and exceed guest satisfaction scores in all areas of the hotel
  • Responsible for satisfaction scores for front desk operations and address deficiencies immediately
  • Work with the corporate training department to develop action plans for guest satisfaction
  • Train guest service agents on proper front desk procedures
  • Recruit, interview, and select qualified candidates for front desk positions
  • Prepare weekly schedules for front office staff
  • Address performance deficiencies through coaching and disciplinary actions
  • Complete performance evaluations for front office staff timely
  • Oversee and manage the Front Office to ensure efficient operations and guest care
  • Attend to guest and group special needs and solve problems confidently
  • Monitor daily revenue and expenses to minimize loss and maximize profit
  • Manage Front Office staff by creating a motivated and empowering environment
  • Ensure guest service agents comply with uniform and name badge standards
  • Submit timely and quality reports to corporate
  • Monitor and ensure accurate rates daily
  • Manage inventory in the property management system
  • Review work generated by the night auditor frequently
  • Maintain regular attendance and punctuality
  • Maintain high personal grooming standards and compliance with dress code
  • Perform additional duties as requested
  • Act as Manager on Duty when required
