Job Requirements

  • a four-year college degree or equivalent education or experience
  • two to three years of experience in a related hotel company position
  • discipline-specific hospitality industry knowledge
  • general hotel department knowledge
  • supervisory experience
  • excellent verbal and written English communication skills
  • ability to handle cash or credit transactions
  • proficiency with Microsoft Office and Excel

Job Duties

  • work with the hotel general manager to achieve and exceed guest satisfaction scores in all areas of the hotel
  • responsible for satisfaction scores for the front desk operations
  • address any deficiencies in the area immediately
  • work with the corporate training department to develop action plans to achieve expected guest satisfaction scores
  • effectively train guest service agents on proper front desk procedures
  • recruit, interview, and select qualified candidates for front desk positions
  • prepare weekly schedules for front office staff
  • address performance deficiencies of front office staff through coaching and disciplinary actions
  • complete performance evaluations for front office staff timely
  • manage the Front Office to ensure efficient operations and impeccable guest care
  • attend to guest and group special needs and solve problems with graciousness
  • monitor daily revenue and expenses to minimize loss and maximize profit
  • manage the Front Office staff by creating a motivating environment
  • ensure guest service agents comply with uniform and badge policies
  • prepare timely and accurate reports for corporate
  • monitor and ensure accuracy of room rates daily
  • manage inventory in the property management system
  • collaborate regularly with night auditor
  • maintain consistent attendance and punctuality
  • uphold dress code and personal grooming standards
  • perform additional duties as requested by supervisor
  • act as Manager on Duty when required
