Job Requirements

  • Two-year college degree or equivalent
  • Minimum of three years related supervisory experience
  • Advanced computer software knowledge preferred
  • Ability to operate office equipment

  • Three or more years of employment in a related supervisory position
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Opera PMS preferred
  • Ability to operate computer, calculator, phone switchboard, printer, and radio
  • Thorough knowledge of front office operations
  • Strong supervisory and management skills
  • Warm and friendly demeanor with composure and objectivity
  • Excellent telephone and guest relations skills
  • Knowledge of property safety and security procedures
  • Service oriented with excellent customer service and sales skills

Job Duties

  • Review VIP reservations, amenity orders, and resumes for guests
  • Update the computer system with inventory and group bookings
  • Control suites and special blocks accurately
  • Communicate with other departments for guest and group handling
  • Maintain contact with Reservations and Sales
  • Compute daily payroll, schedules, and reports
  • Perform front desk supervisor duties including cash handling and balancing house bank
  • Accept and record various payment forms
  • Remain calm and resolve guest complaints and emergencies
  • Provide clear verbal and written direction to staff
  • Administer disciplinary procedures
  • Monitor lobby traffic and adjust staffing
  • Organize front office meetings and represent in absence of management
  • Monitor and report on payroll and supplies expenses
  • Follow up on maintenance and safety issues with Engineering
  • Implement emergency training and procedures
  • Assist in bell person, PBX operator, and reservationist duties during high volume or absence
