Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • ability to communicate effectively in the primary language used in the workplace
  • valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • ability to move miscellaneous items up to 40 pounds
  • willingness to work varying schedules including part-time hours
  • adherence to company dress code and appearance standards
  • compliance with safety and emergency procedures
  • availability to use office machines and clerical tools
  • maintain regular attendance
  • pass employment eligibility verification such as E-Verify

Job Duties

  • Provide the highest quality of service to the customers at all times
  • greet customers immediately with a friendly and sincere welcome
  • utilize guest's names in interactions whenever possible
  • promptly respond to all guest-related concerns including complaints and special requests
  • have a thorough knowledge of emergency and security procedures
  • check guests in and out in an efficient and friendly manner
  • post guest changes and compute guest bill using the property management system
  • collect payment and make change for hotel guests following cash handling procedures
  • promote the hotel's marketing programs
  • track business via recording corporate and leisure information within the property management system
  • handle guest mail and messages as per established procedures
  • develop a thorough knowledge of hotel staff, room locations, room rates, amenities, and selling strategies
  • take reservation requests efficiently
  • answer switchboard calls according to proper telephone etiquette
  • monitor room availability and handle special requests
  • handle safe deposits by guests per established procedures
  • keep lobby and guest areas clean and presentable
  • offer and properly handle wake-up calls
  • open and close shifts and make cash drops
  • ensure all credit cards, cash, and change fund are balanced throughout each shift
  • monitor the intake of currency to protect against counterfeit bills
  • inform management of any guest or systems related complaints or problems
  • communicate with incoming staff and management by logging pertinent information in the front desk log
  • pass on guest lost and found inquiries to management
  • monitor and maintain adequate office supplies for smooth operations
  • develop and maintain knowledge of local attractions, restaurants, and area business
  • develop and maintain basic knowledge of major interstates and roadways to assist in offering directions
  • send and receive facsimiles for guests
  • perform other duties deemed necessary by management within ability
  • maintain proper uniform attire and personal cleanliness at all times according to brand standards
  • practice safety standards consistently
  • move miscellaneous items weighing up to 40 lbs as required
