Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One year of guest relations or front desk experience
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Basic math proficiency
  • Computer literacy
  • Ability to handle stressful situations calmly
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays
  • Ability to maintain professional appearance

Job Qualifications

  • One year of guest relations, front desk or other related experience required
  • Experience as a hotel concierge and Certified Tourism Ambassador designation strongly preferred
  • Ability to serve guest needs using phone, computer and face-to-face communication
  • Positive attitude and professional demeanor
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
  • Computer skills including data entry and internet research
  • Attention to detail and ability to remain calm in difficult situations
  • Proficient in English with additional languages a plus
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility to work varying schedules including holidays and weekends
  • Completion of all required training
  • Maintains a clean appearance and professional demeanor

Job Duties

  • Welcomes guests by greeting them in person or by phone in an enthusiastic and professional manner, answering questions and responding to requests
  • Fulfills unusual requests such as searching for hard-to-find items and arranging unique services within hotel guidelines
  • Maintains knowledge about local entertainment, tours and points of interest and provides information about transportation and directions
  • Effectively deals with customers to defuse anger and resolve conflicts while communicating guest needs to other departments
  • Maintains concierge records and performs guest accounting functions including billing and payments
  • Resolves guest complaints within authority and notifies management of unusual events or safety issues
  • Follows all safety policies and procedures and reports potential safety issues
  • Reports to work as scheduled on time and regularly
