Job Requirements
- Able to stand for extended periods

Job Qualifications
- 1+ year of progressive front office supervisory experience in a hotel
- 2 or 4 year college degree preferred
- experience in front desk or customer service in a hotel environment
- proficiency in hotel PMS systems with Opera knowledge a plus
- strong communication and problem-solving skills
- ability to work well under pressure and maintain composure
- capable of handling financial information and data
- excellent customer service orientation
Job Duties
- Approach all encounters with guests and employees in a friendly, service-oriented manner
- Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Fairmont standards
- Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming
- Comply with Fairmont standards and regulations to ensure safe and efficient operations
- Assist guest service agents with check-in and check-out procedures
- Supervise front desk agents with daily duties
- Train new employees and help develop training programs
- Verify and adjust payroll for hourly staff
- Conduct interviews for guest service agent positions
- Coach and counsel staff on performance and communication
- Maintain performance logs and perform disciplinary actions as needed
- Authorize and sign adjustments and paid outs over limit
- Manage bank funds and maintain correct amounts
- Stay updated on guest services, promotions, and hotel events
- Handle guest complaints promptly and effectively
- Coordinate room availability with housekeeping
- Oversee bell and door staff
- Confirm all daily duties are completed by front desk, operator, and bell staff
- Perform all front desk duties as required
- Brief staff daily on events
- Ensure staff are updated on policies and procedures
- Work with front desk to maintain and improve guest service scores
- Participate in hotel meetings and committees
- Manage special projects and duties within front office
- Log employee absenteeism and lateness
- Oversee key inventory
- Complete special projects as assigned
- Block rooms for special groups
- Perform other duties as required
