Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous experience in customer service or hospitality preferred
  • excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • proficiency with computer and reservation software
  • ability to stand for extended periods
  • basic math skills for billing and cash handling
  • ability to handle guest inquiries professionally
  • capacity to work as part of a team
  • physical ability to perform light lifting up to 30 lbs
  • keen attention to security and safety protocols

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Enthusiastically greet and check in hotel guests as they arrive
  • smile and use names often
  • assign rooms to guests and issue room keys
  • provide directions to room, either directly to guest or as escort instructions to DTS Attendant
  • keep records of room availability and guests' accounts
  • make, confirm and cancel reservations for guests
  • assist in posting charges such as room, food, liquor, spa services or telephone to guest accounts
  • be knowledgeable of all hotel and club services, policies, hours of operation, special programs, marketing specials, department manager names and titles
  • answer hotel guests' questions and market all RCS services to guests
  • provide concierge-type services when Concierge is not on duty
  • assist guests in using the Business Center's computers, printers, copier, and fax machine
  • date-stamp, sort and rack incoming mail and fax messages
  • compute guest bills and collect payment upon check-out
  • answer incoming calls, transfer calls professionally and take accurate messages
  • control the safe deposit box room and system
  • assist guests with signing in and signing out safety deposit box items
  • ensure compliance with RCS operational policies for Front Desk, Business Center, safe deposit boxes, and Concierge Desk
  • report suspicious or inappropriate behavior to Front Office Manager or Security Officer
  • assist with administrative duties
  • perform other responsibilities or projects assigned by Assistant Front Office Manager
