Job Requirements

- minimum of 2 years experience in front of house or assistant management role
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- knowledge of labor laws and scheduling practices

Job Duties
- continue to fulfill duties of assistant manager
- screen applications daily and schedule interviews weekly for front of house positions
- conduct front of house interviews, hiring, and new hire paperwork
- conduct orientations with all front of house new hires
- be heavily involved in training front of house team members and ensure trainers follow proper training procedures
- evaluate trainees' performance each shift and provide one-on-one guidance and correction
- administer training tests each shift and track trainees' progress
- create continued education programs to develop existing employees and expand their skills
- hold pre-shift meetings to set vision and goals
- set individual and group goals with employees
- inspire employees through incentives, contests, and team-building exercises
- cross-train front of house employees and encourage learning new positions
- promote front of house employees and increase responsibilities and compensation
- discipline and hold employees accountable
- set clear expectations and systems for side-work, service, and teamwork
- ensure all employees know and follow proper policies and procedures
- hold all employees to Stix's standards
- manage front of house scheduling and labor costs strategically
- position employees for maximum efficiency and results
- establish and update job duties and daily operations
- collaborate with front of house department heads to resolve employee issues
- work with bar manager to maintain Responsible Vendor certifications
- coordinate with back of house manager to maintain Food Handler's Cards
- assist in checking deliveries when necessary
