Job Requirements

  • 1+ years of functional supervisory experience
  • 2 years food and beverage experience
  • current Food Handlers Permit
  • preferred current ServSafe Manager Certification or must complete within 3 months of hire
  • AOS in hotel restaurant management or 5 years experience in similar food service operations
  • ability to lift 50 pounds regularly
  • ability to bend, stoop, squat, stretch, stand, sit, walk for extended periods
  • strong communication skills in English
  • ability to use Microsoft Office Suite and POS systems
  • willingness to work Monday-Friday 6:30am-2:30pm and occasional after-hours
  • ability to deescalate difficult situations
  • ability to maintain health and safety compliance
  • ability to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation

Job Qualifications

  • AOS in hotel restaurant management or 5 years experience in restaurants, hotels, and/or related food service operations of similar caliber
  • 1+ years of functional supervisory experience
  • 2 years food and beverage experience
  • heavily preferred 1 year sports arena club level experience or on-site catering experience
  • preferred knowledge of cash handling procedures and reconciliation of cash banks
  • observable good business etiquette
  • observable zest for food, beverage, and guest service
  • current Food Handlers Permit
  • preferred current ServSafe Manager Certification or must complete within 3 months of hire
  • moderate Microsoft Office Suite proficiency including Outlook
  • ability to navigate POS systems and other required operating machines
  • observable good communication skills in English both written and verbal

Job Duties

  • Ensures high caliber guest service during each interaction with each guest, vendor, team member, and visitor
  • provides excellent customer service, greets guests while in the dining room, takes ownership over guest needs, and represents the MACU brand professionally
  • responsible for food prep including peeling, cutting, stocking, and storing fruits and vegetables
  • supports guest check out, station sign maintenance, beverage ordering and inventory including coffee, cleaning, stocking all FOH items, some dish washing occasionally, and regular customer service
  • greets guests, answers questions, and resolves issues throughout the service and dining room while tending to responsibilities
  • responsible for all front of house breakfast set up including preparing breakfast fruit and yogurt bar, pastry display and signage, coffee station brewing and machine cleaning, and service items
  • sets up required food stations as outlined by Manager
  • communicates with the Chef and sous chefs to properly label and set up guest facing food stations
  • able to deescalate difficult situations with guests, vendors, employees, and team members while remaining positive and professional
  • maintains knowledge of and compliance with Health Department regulations and excellent personal and kitchen hygiene
  • participates in meetings, staff development, and professional programs
  • performs additional duties as assigned based on business needs
