Job Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent required
- Work experience including interacting with and greeting guests required
- Typing 40 WPM required
- Computer experience including faxes, copiers, multiline phones and printers required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Must be a strong team player
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills required
- Interpersonal relationship and collaboration skills required
- Excellent analytical and organizational skills required
- Excellent critical thinking, judgment, and problem-solving skills required
- Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English effectively required
- Attention to detail, vigilance, poise, and composure in stressful situations required
Job Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent
- Some college or communications classes preferred
- Work experience that includes interacting with and greeting guests
- One year of experience in a reception position preferred
- Typing speed of 40 WPM
- Proficient computer experience
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to speak, read, write and understand English effectively
- Knowledge of computer systems and software used in the functional area
- Exceptional interpersonal and collaboration skills
- Excellent analytical, judgment, and problem-solving skills
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Comprehensive Crisis Management (CCM) certification preferred
Job Duties
- Act as a resource to patients, visitors, and others entering the hospital through the front lobby
- Courteously answer questions and guide patients and visitors to their destinations
- Inform visitors of the visiting policy and uphold it at all times
- Keep current documentation of all patients who present for registration
- Operate office equipment including faxes, copiers, multiline phones, and printers
- Maintain composure and professionalism in stressful situations
- Collaborate effectively with team members to support hospital operations
