Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED or equivalent
- work experience that includes interacting with and greeting guests, assisting customers, being organized
- typing 40 WPM
- computer experience with faxes, copiers, multiline phones, printers
- must be a strong team player
- exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- interpersonal relationship and collaboration skills
- excellent analytical and organizational skills
- excellent critical thinking, judgment, and problem-solving skills
- ability to speak, read, write, and understand English effectively
- must hold RQI Responder certification - American Heart Association
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED or equivalent
- some college or communications classes preferred
- work experience that includes interacting with and greeting guests, assisting customers, and being organized
- prefer minimum one year of experience in a busy reception position, preferably healthcare related
- typing 40 WPM and computer experience including use of office equipment
- exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- interpersonal relationship and collaboration skills
- excellent analytical, organizational, critical thinking, judgment, and problem-solving skills
- ability to speak, read, write, and understand English effectively
- knowledge of computer systems and software used in functional area
- strong attention to detail, vigilance, poise, and composure
- bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
- RQI Responder certification - American Heart Association
- comprehensive crisis management training at CHOC preferred
Job Duties
- Greet patients, visitors and others entering the facility through the front lobby
- courteously answer questions and guide patients, visitors and others to their destinations
- inform visitors of the visiting policy and uphold it at all times
- follow standard operating procedures for documentation of persons entering and/or exiting the facility
- use computer systems, faxes, copiers, multiline phones, and printers efficiently
- maintain poise and composure in stressful situations
- collaborate effectively as a strong team player
