Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum one year experience in food service or supervisory role preferred
  • must complete sanitation course before or during the first year
  • ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
  • ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends
  • proficiency in multitasking and managing team operations
  • physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights
  • commitment to food safety and sanitation standards
  • ability to maintain a positive work environment under stress

Job Qualifications

  • Must read, write, and understand verbal instructions
  • must complete a sanitation course either before or during first year
  • must be knowledgeable in operating an efficient cost-effective program
  • ability to perform basic arithmetic
  • maintain emotional control under stress
  • ability to resolve interpersonal situations
  • strong organizational skills

Job Duties

  • Produce and maintain work schedules and prepare production packets such as production sheets and recipes
  • direct daily activities
  • maintain food production that ensures the safety and quality of food according to policies and department requirements
  • ensure that food items are stored safely and organized
  • maintain serving schedules and ensure food is served according to menu specifications
  • maintain a sanitary department following health and safety codes
  • maintain accurate inventory on a weekly basis
  • prepare orders as needed to ensure accurate production
  • supervise and evaluate employees
  • promote employee growth, efficiency, morale, and teamwork
  • maintain a safe and hazard-free working environment
  • train and mentor other food service workers
  • maintain logs on maintenance required on equipment
  • ensure all food safety and temperature logs are completed with corrective action as necessary
  • perform preventative maintenance checklist
  • recommend equipment replacement to meet facility needs
  • perform other duties as requested by management
  • fill in for absent employees as necessary
  • maintain knowledge of catering events and ensure timely preparation and delivery
  • work occasional night and weekend catered events
  • attend food service meetings
  • maintain communication with staff including office staff and through email and phone calls
  • perform cashier duties as needed
  • promote good public relations
