Job Duties
- Accurately records prices and collects payments
- Responsible for accurate balancing of the cash drawer
- Follows and implements correct accounting procedures for all voids, returns, exchanges, and department transfers
- Accurately collects cash, checks, or charge payments from customers and makes changes when required on cash transactions
- Verifies identification for authenticity and signature when processing checks and credit card purchases
- Follows liquor and tobacco laws implicitly, including verification of valid identification
- Provides extraordinary customer service that exceeds customer expectations
