Job Duties
- Accurately records prices and collects payments
- responsible for accurate balancing of the cash drawer
- follows and implements correct accounting procedures for all voids, returns, exchanges, and department transfers
- accurately collects cash, checks, or charge payments from customers and makes changes when required on cash transactions
- verifies identification for authenticity and signature when processing checks and credit card purchases
- follows liquor and tobacco laws implicitly, including verification and authenticity of valid identification
- provides extraordinary customer service that exceeds expectations
